Fertility, Pregnancy & Postnatal Care

Nurture your journey to motherhood with the holistic support of reflexology. Whether you’re trying to conceive, navigating the changes of pregnancy, or recovering post-birth, reflexology offers a gentle and effective way to promote balance within the body and wellbeing at every stage.

  • Preparing to have a baby is an important part of the journey and as a trained reproductive reflexologist I can support you with identifying ovulation, ensuring your hormones are balanced, regulate cycles, improve sperm health, and suggest lifestyle factors and dietary changes that will be important to the success of a healthy pregnancy.

Emotionally, the treatment fosters a sense of calm and deeper connection to the body, helping to ease physical and mental stress that can sometimes interfere with conception.

  • When you're ready to take the next step, as a reproductive reflexologist I can provide you with the support your body will need. Either as a stand alone treatment or alongside assisted conception including IVF, ICSI and IUI.

Like all fertility treatments, please know that reflexology cannot guarantee pregnancy, as it is not a direct treatment for infertility. However, it can offer supportive benefits to enhance overall reproductive health and improve the chances of conceiving.

  • During pregnancy, reflexology provides relief from common discomforts such as back pain, swelling and hormonal imbalances. It promotes deep relaxation and emotional balance, helping you feel more centered and supported as your body changes.

A tailored approach to your reflexology treatment will be adapted to suit your specific needs.

  • Reflexology can be a beneficial complementary therapy for natural induction of labour, particularly as the due date approaches or passes. By targeting specific reflex points on the feet, hands, and face that correspond to the uterus and cervix, reflexology stimulates these areas to encourage the body to initiate labour naturally.

Additionally, it promotes deep relaxation, which can alleviate anxiety and stress that may hinder labour onset. By balancing hormones, particularly oxytocin, and improving circulation, reflexology helps the body prepare for labour.

Reflexology may also promote cervical ripening, which is essential for the onset of contractions, and aids in lymphatic drainage to improve overall body function.

  • Don’t overlook the 4th trimester! Reflexology can also be highly beneficial for postnatal recovery.

After birth, reflexology aids in recovery by helping restore balance, support healing, and promote emotional wellbeing. It can also help with common postpartum concerns such as sleep disturbances, hormonal shifts and physical recovery, allowing you to nurture both yourself and your baby with greater ease.

Your newborn is more than welcome to join you for your session. The focus will be on you, but we will work around their needs too.

Discover how reflexology can be an essential part of your self-care routine as you prepare for, experience, and recover from the incredible journey of motherhood.
